Frames are hand-built from kiln-dried hardwood, double-doweled and corner-blocked for exceptional strength and stability. Steel springs, often 8-way hand-tied, provide superior support and comfort that stands up to daily use. Arms and sides are amply padded for lasting comfort and resilience. We offer an innerspring seat cushion encased in foam and wrapped in premium feathers and down. All feather-and-down cushions and seats are hypoallergenic. We offer 49 furniture frames, customizable with your choice of more than 100 fabrics.

We choose the best joinery for each design (mortise-and-tenon, dowels, cleats), to ensure that our furniture is long-lasting and performs beautifully. In most cases, drawer boxes are made from solid lumber with English or French dovetail joints. Drawers glide on waxed wood runners. Custom hardware is created for many designs. All products are tested by independent labs to ensure product safety and reliability.

To craft our furniture we use rich-grained woods, the finest veneers and upholstery fabrics from world-renowned mills and tanneries. Then we ensure that each piece is carefully finished to enhance the natural beauty of these exceptional materials.

Whether domestic or imported, the wood used in our furnishings is hand-selected to ensure the highest quality. We use only wood from legally harvested sources. It is our policy not to use illegally harvested or endangered wood in our products. Our veneers are cut from exceptionally fine wood and are expertly matched and applied to showcase the beauty of the grain and enhance the design of the furniture. In some cases, engineered materials are used to increase the strength and stability of our products. In those cases, we use only engineered materials that meet or exceed the European E2 standard.

Most of our furniture is finished by hand, in multiple steps, to create finishes of extraordinary depth and nuance. Because we use such high-quality materials, we opt for little or no distressing, preferring finishes that bring out the inherent beauty of the wood. We work with international finish suppliers to ensure consistency of color and quality in our finishes. All finishes are tested by independent labs for stain resistance, hardness and adhesion.
